I knew it would be dangerous going into this shoot. Not because I’m afraid of babies, but more so because I’d be afraid of wanting to have my own baby after getting to see Charlie. I was right. Should have known, my intuition is hardly ever wrong. While editing the photos, I couldn’t help but gush.. constantly over just how cute Charlie is. This is not good for Adam and I. :)

Charleigh and I work together and it has been such a blessing to be her friend. I can’t believe that it’s almost been two years since Adam and I were celebrating at their wedding. Every time I’d see her at work while she was pregnant, I couldn’t help but just smile because I was so happy for her, but also a bit envious of her beautiful pregnant glow. Being able to get a sneak peek of her new family with baby Charlie was such a blessing to me because I got to witness firsthand the joy that is just overflowing from the Sights household. I am so incredibly happy for Char and Brandon and their beautiful baby boy.

IMG_3624edit1.jpgAll of these animals were hand painted by Char and Brandon. It’s absolutely amazing. Wow.

Thank you Char and Brandon for sharing Charlie with me for a little bit! He is so precious! :)

God has such an interesting, intricate way of weaving our lives together. Patty and I work at the same school. It has been such a blessing being able to work with her because of her leadership and passion for kids. Oscar actually worked at the school I did my student teaching in way back when. He was always such a friendly face in the office. Somehow God led them to me for their wedding photography and I couldn’t be more blessed!

I feel honored to be able to capture her wedding day for her in June. Patty, Oscar, Zoe, Harley (their beautiful dogs) and I had a great time roaming Balboa Park for their engagement session. Believe it or not, I had yet to shoot in Balboa Park for an engagement session before this one and I had a blast! I especially loved all the colors in the Spanish Arts Village.

I had such a nice time hanging out with you two and look forward to your wedding in June!

Adam and I know Sarah from The Rock Church. We all serve on the Count Team together and have known each other for about a year now. It has been an interesting journey watching how God works in our lives and it’s been a blessing to be able to see God’s Hands work in Sarah’s life. Adam and I had such a blast on this engagement session. Greg seriously kept us laughing the whole time! It was so much fun! Plus, it was such a treat to watch him make Sarah laugh and smile with joy too.

Cute shoes!

I love how Greg is checking Sarah out in this one…

…and how it looks like he’s praying that she’ll go out with him in this one. Ha!

Sarah and Greg, can’t wait for your wedding coming up in a couple of weeks!

I couldn’t help post at least one of the photos of precious Charlie from yesterday’s baby portrait session before editing my other projects. Doesn’t this just ooze happiness?! *smile*

More to come!

Lessons about love that I’ve learned from Sarah and Carlo: Find an armpit, be adventurous and love with all your heart.” - Jayne’s Maid of Honor speech.

Sarah and Carlo have such an amazing love story thus far and I can only imagine how rich the subsequent chapters will be as the years grow in their marriage. They met in Australia, got engaged in Costa Rica, and currently live in Germany where Carlo is from. Long distance could not keep their love apart, but in fact helped their love to blossom! The love that poured out from friends and family was overwhelming and such a treat to be a part of as a photographer.

I’ve had the honor of photographing several special family events for Jayne and Sarah’s family in the past couple of years, like Sarah’s Graduation Party and Jayne’s 30th Birthday Party. Even still, I was incredibly blessed to be asked to photograph Sarah and Carlo’s Wedding last week in Monterey and Carmel.

We started the day at Oya Salon in Monterey where the girls got their hair and make-up done. We headed over to Pt. Lobos Reserve to get bridal party and family photos. The ceremony was at Stewart’s Cove at Carmel State River Beach and the reception was at a family home in Salinas.

Sarah’s beautiful dress.

The rings.

The salon was so much fun to shoot in.

The necklace the girls bought for Sarah. It has 9 diamonds in it; one for each of them!

Jayne, Mom and Sarah in curlers. Love this shot.

The beautiful bride-to-be.

Loved the old mirror in the getting ready room.

Nora, one of the flower girls, listening in the conversation.

Doesn’t Sarah just look AH-MAZ-ING?! Greek goddess, anyone?

Here is Sarah and Carlo’s first look. Aww!

The wedding party getting ready for the ceremony to begin.

And even though Monterey is notoriously foggy, it just so happened to clear up in time for bride and groom photos!

After the ceremony, we headed over to family home in Salinas and the view was amazing!

I could NOT get enough of the beautiful details in their wedding. I love every little special touch!

Love the different levels in the glasses.

First dance and Father/Daughter dance.

Sarah and Carlo, your wedding was so amazing! Thank you so much for bringing Daniel and I out there to capture your special day!

And Daniel Galang, thank you so much for your help. Couldn’t have done it without you!!!
